Is Your Specimen Properly Sealed?
Improper lid closure can lead to leakage, contamination, and compromised test results.
We often receive specimens that have leaked inside the biohazard bag due to improper sealing. Unfortunately, these specimens must be rejected and recollected.
Before submitting a specimen, always ensure:
- The lid is aligned correctly
- The container is tightly sealed
- No leakage is present
Small details in specimen handling make a significant difference in quality and safety.
